Grimston Fen & Allotment Trust

About Us
Grimston Fen and Allotment Trust are a registered charity whose responsibility is to manage the land owned by the trust in line with the management plan as set out by Natural England with the aim of preserving the fens for the special flora and fauna which have led to them being designated Sites of Special Scientific Interest and County Wildlife sites.
The trust also manages the garden allotments situated off Leziate Drove and various grazing allotments throughout the parish. These are available for parishioners to rent for a small annual charge.
The trust comprises up to seven trustees, an ex-officio trustee who is always the vicar, two Parish Council nominees and up to four co-opted trustees who are chosen by the trust for the specific skills and expertise they contribute.

The trust is responsible to the Charity Commission and is governed by it's constitution which can be found here (Charity overview, SAND GRAVEL AND CLAY PITS CHARITY - 218256, Register of Charities - The Charity Commission).

There are usually in excess of six meetings a year, an annual report including financials is submitted to the Charity Commission.
The Trustees

Mike Seville
Mike is the trusts chairman. He has a wealth of knowledge relating to forestry, land management and funding.

Neville Jackson
Neville is the trusts vice chairman and is an active member of the parish. Neville has experience in agriculture and land management.

Philip Parker
Philip works in ecology and provides an expert view on many of the flora and fauna on the fens.

Judith Pollard
Judith is the trusts ex-officio. Judith brings her knowledge of the parish and a passion to do the best for the local community

Peter Coleman
Peter is a council nominated trustee. Peter runs and works on farms and is involved in many parish groups and activities.

Jude Kivlin
Jude is a council nominated trustee. She has a background in risk and compliance.

Gemma Barnicoat
I am the Trusts Clerk. I am a qualified accountant and have a wealth of experience working in the charity sector. I live in the parish of Grimston and enjoy spending time on the fens with my family.
